How to keep track of new seasons of your favourite shows

You finish a season, love it, and then wait. Sometimes a year, sometimes longer. By the time it is back you have forgotten it was coming, or you find out when someone spoils it.

Keep one list of the shows you follow

Not in your head, and not spread across every streaming app you have. One list of the shows you are following, including the ones between seasons, is the only way to be sure nothing slips.

Know where each one streams

Shows move between services, and a new season is not always where the last one was. Knowing where it is saves the search on the night.

Decide: every week, or all at once?

Some seasons arrive all at once, others an episode a week. If you would rather binge, wait until every episode is out and watch it in one go. If you like following along each week, and staying ahead of spoilers, start on day one.

Get a heads-up early, and again the day before

An early warning gives you time to catch up on the last season. A reminder the day before means you don't miss the start.

Catch up before it comes back

After a long gap, rewatching the last few episodes of the previous season makes the new one far easier to get back into.

Dodge the spoilers

The week a big show comes back, mute its name and its characters' names on social media until you have watched.
